Cleban & Daughters is looking for a part-time employee to help us prepare for the busy holiday season and beyond. This person would be dedicated to maintaining our home studio & work in our domestic kitchen. This role is essentially tending to the engine of this vibrant small business.
The ideal candidate is energetic, easy going, organized & efficient. Someone who is comfortable working carefully behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
Previous fulfillment, retail, or back of house experience is helpful but not required. An interest in herbal wellness, specialty foods, or independent brands is a plus.
You’ll help with:
✔️Packing and shipping online and wholesale orders
✔️Packing and labeling products
✔️Organizing and counting inventory
✔️Delivering local wholesale orders
✔️Maintaining stock levels
✔️Preparing merchandise for local markets
✔️Assisting co-founders & brand activators with the set up of markets & pop-up events
✔️Keeping our back of house studio and market spaces well stocked & organized
Cleban & Daughters is a small business local to Portland owned & run by two sisters. The line is a homage to their grandfather’s Amsterdam apothecary circa 1850 and has been operating for 7+ years. Our proprietary wellness blends are formulated by co-founder & Herbalist Liana Pekelharing who also does all of our marketing. You would work closely with co-founder Roxane Pekelharing (sales & operations) in her home near Multnomah Village.
You may recognize our Dutch Licorice, our favorite kind from Opa’s apothecary at some of your favorite spots in Portland.

📍Must be local to Portland with easy access to SW
🚗 Must have a vehicle in good working order & valid driver’s license
⏰ 10–15 hours/week, with additional hours during Holiday, must have reliable weekday availability & be free to work the occasional weekend. The holiday season will require more weekend availability.
💵 $19-$22/hour based on experience, includes workers comp, paid time off, employee discount & product allowance
📅 Starting as soon as possible. This role must be filled by Nov 1st.
